FAQ
Who can apply to the TMW 100 Awards?
Any company that serves marketers with technology is welcome to apply for the 2024 TMW 100.
While our focus will be on new product and technology innovation, Martech companies can innovate in a variety of ways - how they serve customers, how they help their customers grow their businesses, or how they deliver groundbreaking new technologies.
How much does it cost to apply?
Our application fee is $799 USD, with earlybird entry cost of $599 USD (25% discount). This ensures that every company has a chance to be selected to join TMW 100 and participate in the People’s Choice vote to receive its final ranking in the top 100. Our entry fee funds the costs of the event, awards and prizes, and our end-of-year Martech Innovation Index Report for 2024.
How long are applications open for?
Awards Launch: 22 May 2024 6:00am PST
Earlybird Application Deadline: 28 June 2024 11:59pm PST
Final Application Deadline: 27 September 2024 11:59pm PST
What do I need to include in my application?
The application case study section has three questions with a 300-word count limit each - 900 words maximum. There is an optional testimonial section to add 3 testimonials at 150 words maximum.
Where and when will the TMW 100 Top 3 awards be presented?
The Top 3 winners of TMW 100, along with the Top 100 shortlisted martech companies, People’s Choice & category leaders, will be presented live at the Martech World Forum event (October 31st, 2024) in London, United Kingdom.
How do the judges determine the TMW 100 list?
A global panel of judges has been selected from countries across all major regions, including Asia Pacific, North America, Europe, LatAm, and MENA.
TMW 100 judges are each assigned a randomly generated selection of all applications. Each TMW 100 judge receives 3 votes each to select their nominees to progress to People’s Choice voting. The judges evaluate each company by assessing the application completeness, the novelty of the solution, the commercial and customer impact of the solution, and the strength of customer or employee testimonials.
How does the People’s Choice voting work?
All successful applicants will progress to a People’s Choice vote where the public can view basic company information, and innovation case study, and vote for your company. We only allow for one vote per company per person.
To ensure that the voting process is fair for all participants regardless of company size, we set a handicap for smaller companies that adds a multiplier to their final vote count. Companies can qualify for a handicap based on the employee headcount range in your application. For example, a small company with less than 5 employees will receive 3 votes for every 1 vote cast by the public in the final count. This is to ensure that companies with a larger proportion of employees, customers, and audiences don't have an unfair advantage in garnering votes from the public.
Which judges will be shortlisting the top 100 Martech companies?
A global panel of judges has been from countries across all major regions, including Asia Pacific, North America, Europe, LatAm, and MENA.
There will be additional considerations for judges when it comes to large multinational marketing technology companies that apply, as these groups may have a large consumer base that could skew the vote results. We will work with judges on a case-by-case basis throughout the event.
What are the benefits for winners?
At the conclusion Martech World Forum event, each company who either won People’s Choice, category leader or placed in the Top 100 will get a badge to display on their website - with their specific ranking and a badge showing their status as a Top 10, Top 25, Top 50, Top 75, or Top 100 Martech companies.
All Top 100 companies will be featured on themartechweekly.com rankings list and be featured in an end-of-year 2024 Martech Index Innovation Report.
